Public meeting Tuesday, Wednesday to discuss Ascension,Livingston Parkway
GONZALES – Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced that Ascension Parish and Livingston Parish will each hold public meetings to discuss the feasibility of a parkway between the two parishes. The Ascension-Livingston Parkway Feasibility Study will examine the relative feasibility and impacts of constructing a new four-lane parkway and bridge crossing of the Amite River connecting U.S. Highway 190, Interstate 12 and Interstate 10. Ascension Parish’s meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakeside Primary School, 16500 state Route 431, Prairieville. For questions or to arrange disability assistance call 225-450-1012. Each meeting will be an open-house style meeting and will provide information regarding the proposed project to the public. Parish officials and engineers, along with engineers from Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. will be on hand to answer questions.
